Terry Winter is a brilliant painter. He's also a paranoid agoraphobe. He is looked after by his lifelong friend and fellow artist, Alice Martin; they speak in codes and co-exist in Terry's fragile, intricate world of protective measures and rituals. Through their co-dependent relationship, the play explores the inextricable connections between commerce, friendship, art and madness.
