White Lies Ahead by Claude Montminy, translated by Nina Lauren and Danielle Ellen

Isabelle, the fearsome adviser to a cabinet minister, has lied one too many times. At the bedside of her dying grandmother, she made up that she was pregnant so that Norma would die happy. But, against all odds, the good news brings her back to life instead! Isabelle is forced to fake her pregnancy fearing the truth would kill her grandmother for good. It's not easy to keep that kind of secret with an intrusive intern, an unpredictable boss and a depressed doctor!
