
We Are Family involves two estranged 50-something sisters who find themselves destitute, They have to find a way to live together so they can avoid homelessness. Their solution is to lease an abandoned lighthouse in rural Nova Scotia. They head out across Northern Ontario, and, after a near-fatal encounter with a moose, they arrive in Lower Lost Hope to discover that their new home is barely livable. Old tensions arise and sparks fly. It's mostly a comedy, although is has some dark moments.
