Touch of the White Man is a docudrama about the extermination of the Beothuks Indians in Newfoundland during the early 1800's. It tells the story of the capture and death of Shanawdithit, the last of the indigenous Indian tribe of Newfoundland known as the Beothuks and the official indifference and bungling that brought about their extinction.
