Ken is over 40, Carolyn is over 70. They have been friends a long time, and tonight Ken has cooked her a wonderful dinner, including dessert. When Ken tells Carolyn that he's in love with her, she is shocked by the idea's "inappropriateness", and she fears that he's toying with her. But Ken persists, and slowly Carolyn comes to see a new possibility for both their lives.
