The Second Time Around by Uwe Meyer
Widower David, a writer of children's books returns to his small home town with his seventeen year old daughter Samantha and moves in with his mother-in-law, Shirley. While trying to get his writing back on track he becomes involved with two sisters, Heather and Nicky, both of whom went to high school with him. While Heather is a no-nonsense realtor who sets her sights on David from the beginning, Nicky has always been a thorn in David's side. With a little bit of help from Samantha who's entire knowledge of romance comes from reading Cosmopolitan Magazine and Shirley who's continually suffering from nicotine withdrawal, true love or at least a version of it prevails in the end ... although not without the usual bumps in the road along the way.
