When Alberta booms and busts and booms again what happens to the poor? Packa is a 13 year old inner-city kid bouncing between group homes and the street. She pan handles and fights to survive with a couple of other young teens. Chance throws Packa into the orbit of another inner city survivor living in poverty, Daisy. Daisy is undiagnosed bi-polar and a senior. Over the course of one year these two women reluctantly help each other and cautiously begin to change how they view each other, themselves and their future.
