Science Fiction by David Widdicombe
Drunk, disheveled and forgotten, former cult science fiction writer Spider Savage is discovered one night passed out in a donut shop by Jill,
a dedicated fan who's hitchhiked across the country to pay homage. Jill helps him back to his seedy hotel room and is about to nurse him back to health when Spider is kidnapped by a pair of thugs who think he's the next messiah. Quint, and ex-mercenary, and Teddy, his young lackey, claim they have been sent by mysterious employers to find Spider and that if he doesn't agree to save the world they will be forced to kill him.
