Paris, 1910. Prospective Cabinet Minister Julian Ventroux is constantly exasperated and embarrassed by his delightfully innocent wife Clarissa's continua appearances in her nightgown at any time of day, regardless of whoever happens to be there - be it her son, the manservant, the Mayor or the local reporter, she is deliciously unaware of the impropriety of it all. And when a wasp intrudes to liven things up still more by attacking her, her desperate pleas to all around to help remove the sting, result in a hilarious merry-go-round of a finale to this exuberant French farce.
