This site-specific opera composed by David Ogborn, to be performed in a working bar, puts the audience in the middle of the music and plunks a pint in front of them, too. Over the night in a neighbourhood pub, passion blooms, friendships are tested, the Big Game is cheered, and hearts are broken; while for some, success is as simple as talking the bartender into bringing one last drink. Meanwhile, Randy, a seedy and beer-sodden former heartthrob who is the self-proclaimed king of this little world, chases every woman in the bar as he waits to achieve karaoke glory. The innovative score in this sold-out Fringe Festival hit is performed by one musician using live electronics and a modified acoustic guitar.
