Misadventures in Marriage by Robert J. Wheeler

“Misadventures In Marriage” is a coming-of-age comedy. Billy, a first-year university medical student shares his apartment with Jeremy, a soon to graduate medical student. Billy is young, naïve while Jeremy is a street-gambling-sin-savvy older roommate. Billy has fallen hard for Suzanne, a thirty-something, hot cougar/TV sports commentator who has a knack for picking winning NFL teams. However, Suzanne’s belief that gambling and drinking kill relationships, caused by her upbringing, has Billy rethinking his future with her. Billy confides in Jeremy that he wants to terminate his relationship with Suzanne because he’s found out she’s been married and divorced five times in the last ten years. Jeremy, realizing Suzanne’s NFL tips are important to his financial future, begs Billy to maintain his relationship with Suzanne. Jeremy convinces Billy he can cure Suzanne of her obsessive-compulsive serial marrying disorder.
