Kristal is a former teenage drug addict and prostitute who lived on the streets until she made it through rehab. She returns to high school where she is teased and shunned by the other students who think they know everything about drugs. To the dismay of his girlfriend and the teasing of his friend, Albert sympathizes with Kristal and tries to help her.
