On Valentine's Day, during an ice storm that has cut power to her house, Evelyn seeks shelter with her son Owen and his girlfriend Chloe. Owen and Chloe have recently moved in together, and they are very much in love. Evelyn is overly critical of her son most of the time. Chloe knows that it is affecting Owen. She wants it to stop. While Owen is out, Chloe confronts Evelyn. This short play touches on the importance of a loving and supportive relationship between mother and child, and on the need to break unhealthy behavior patterns that can be passed on from one generation to the next.
