In His Name - Dollard Des Ormeaux and the Battle of Long Sault by Robert Tsonos

Set in 1660, In His Name is not just the story of a 350 year old event in which 17 Frenchmen fought off 700 native warriors, saving the small settlement of Ville Marie (Montreal). The play is about young men fighting for their country, the loved ones who struggle to save them, and the religious and political ties that control them. Replace the battle for furs with the battle for oil and In His Name mirrors the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The play is an inventive, fast-paced, theatrically stylized drama.
