"Heartsong: My Life in Lyric and Verse" includes a number of lyrics from Dorothy Lees-Blakey's musicals, the whole text of "Pied Piper Symphonic Tale", as well as a number of her poems, song lyrics, and narrative sections that include details of many other shows that she has written.
This work is not a performative piece, but rather a loving collection of glimpses of the theatrical life of Dorothy Lees-Blakey.
