Heart Attached by John Kenwell

Food? Sleep? Or love?

You can survive with the first two, but cannot thrive without all three.

Piles of pizza and constant slumber cannot revitalize jilted Nigel; his heart is locked and blocked, and his body is inert. His stomach is fed, he's rested his head, yet his revival can only be achieved through his heart.

Two crust-laden, talking pizza boxes narrate Nigel's plight, but are powerless to help him see the light that might be at the end of the tunnel which is his dark, messy, smelly, lonely apartment "prison".

Keywords: heart, heartbroken, lonely, withdrawn, attachment, blocked, energy, love

Acts: 1
Run time: 20 minutes

Casting note: Roles may be doubled because aside from the role of Nigel, who appears as a young man on stage, and Pizza Box 1 and Pizza Box 2 (who are likely to be presented as their voices coming through boxes on the stage, not actually human versions of talking pizza boxes), all of the other roles can be filled by voices not actually actors on the stage proper.
