What happens when "enemy combatants" are no longer of any use to their captors? Where vengeance rules over common sense? In Guantanamera, two "enemy combatants" try to find ways of keeping their minds and faith consistent. Imprisoned indefinitely in a notorious gulag, their sense of reality is continually taxed as they calculate the limits of existence. Guantanamera asks questions about the purpose behind keeping such persons in limbo, in a perpetual legal void.
