Everything I Love About Christmas by Robert More

The Barnes family loves to celebrate Christmas. Unfortunately, a terrible snowstorm blankets the countryside and leaves 17 year old daughter, Susan stranded in a small bus station, all alone and with no way to get home - on Christmas Eve! With every road closed, it will take some kind of very special miracle to bring daughter Susan Barnes home from school for the holidays.
Christmas Miracles sometimes do happen though, and when the mother, Maggie Barnes, gives the entire family feast to “the Brannigans”, their less fortunate neighbours, whose recent hard luck has left them with no job, no Christmas dinner and no presents for the kids, this act of kindness sets off a chain of events that in a wonderful, unexpected way brings the Barnes family together for Christmas.
Of course, this miraculous chain of events is given plenty of help from a merry and very witty Santa and his team of mischievous elves who come to the rescue in the “Nick” of time.
A joyous, spirited and humorous celebration for the entire family!

Content note: The Elves (2 male, 2 female): The Elves are extremely effective multi-purpose characters. They are providers of comedy, music, and mystery.  The Elves, as puppeteers, may do puppet manipulation behind a Shadow Screen, or they may be fully visible. For example: when the Circle of Blue Light appears on page 1, this could be a shadow screen with Santa, reindeers and sleigh portrayed by a shadow puppet with colour behind the screen.
Or - the screen could be an actual object held in the air by two of the Elves while two other Elves behind the screen manipulate the Santa sleight reindeer shadow puppets behind the screen.
Or - the Circle of Blue Light could be simply a blue lighting special with the Elves who are fully visible, moving a three dimensional Santa/sleigh/reindeer puppet through the light.
Lots of room for playful invention here!
