Hubbo O'Driscoll is poor. Just when his family is shipped off to emergency housing at Uplands Airforce Base, he starts school in Ottawa's affluent Glebe district. Hubbo's yearning for wealth and acceptance led him dangerously close to betraying family, friends and his own bewildered soul, but luck, (or fate) and true love prevail.
