Dave Luzer is looking for a wife. His best friend and next door neighbour, Dave Chancer, is looking for a job. These two separate quests somehow come together in an afternoon of confused and hilarious mayhem at stately Upside Manor. Three local gossips, Rob, Sue and Martha try hard to keep up with events, while Chancer's daughter Gloria, a police officer, is charged with trying to make sense of a bizarre situation.
