Autographed Copies by John Lazarus
Carl, a blocked and depressed novelist, can't resist autographing the one copy of his 12-year-old novel which he finds in a bookstore. He is caught in the act by the young saleswoman, Beth, and by his ex-wife Tamora, who happens to come into the store on the arm of a successful rival novelist, Julian. Julian is warm and supportive, but Tamora takes the opportunity to try to humiliate Carl - until Beth improvises a way for Carl to save face, and initiates what promises to turn into a beautiful relationship.
