Aftermath by Carly Midgley

Jay is not okay.

It's only been a few weeks since Emma broke his heart, and reminders of her are everywhere. Left amid the wreckage of their relationship, he doesn't know if he loves her or hates her, misses her or never wants to hear from her again.

But whether he wants it or not, a letter has arrived.

Emma is better than okay. She's doing great, or so her letter says. The aftermath, she explains, is the easy part: no more tiptoeing around the elephant in the room.

Through an exchange of letters better left unsent, the two explore the pieces of their failed relationship and the fears, hopes, and mismatched love that fueled it. As they ask themselves one last important question—where do we go from here?—Emma and Jay must examine the marks they've left on each other and untangle what the relationship means to each of them now that it's over.
