Gil and Natalie have been married for twelve years. Natalie has always been somewhat depressed and after suffering a miscarriage, she finds herself on leave for almost a year. Gil tries to be a good husband but his patience is nearing its end. A pretty young colleague, Adele, captures Gil’s attention at the office. From there, an extramarital affair develops. However, Adele is keeping a secret that, once revealed, puts everything in question and precipitates what Gil has not had the courage to do until now: leave his wife.
