Sluggo by Alistair Taylor

Our theme is the persistence of love, grief, and desire. It is an old story, a man looking for his first love. But, there's a twist; Anna has been dead for many years and Robert knows it; he is in fact looking for her final resting place. Encouraged by his daughter Robert hires French Canadian private detective Gilles (Robert knows that Anna is somewhere in Quebec) who finds her, sort of. Watching on from the Afterlife are his recently deceased wife Barbara and the object of his quest, Anna. Joining them is Sluggo, one of Robert's former friends and teammates. Along the way we poke fun at the patriarchy, jock-dom, man-hood, sexuality, and hockey rivalries.
