This play is about the constant struggle that indigenous people throughout North America have faced and continue to face in order to maintain their traditional belief systems and their rights to a land over which they once presided. Treaties and promises by the colonialists who came here have been broken and the rights that indigenous people expected to receive for passive acceptance of the European invaders have been trampled upon. But there is hope and promise that, at least in Canada, that may be changing.
