A funny and haunting love story set against the backdrop of an colourful Scottish Gaelic community in rural Cape Breton Island. Archie MacLean, an entertaining storyteller, a charming liar, and a compulsive birdwatcher falls in love with Lisa, a singer songwriter from away, whose career has taken a downturn. Their coming together is joyous and inevitable but as the world closes in on Archie both he and Lisa are thrown into struggle to survive from which only one emerges.
