Not Fit For Man or Beast by Michael L. Poirier

In a blinding snowstorm, businessman Simon Cummings puts his rental car in the ditch on a barren stretch of highway. Simon finds himself on the doorstep of Mary Crawford's cabin, trying to gain enough trust for her to let him inside, out of the cold.

Mary's autistic son, Blaze takes a liking to Simon and as the storm is entrenched for two more days; Mary is going to have to learn that Simon is trustworthy.
