Nearly three decades after crashing out of the spotlight, stand-up comedian Cal Johnson returns to the stage, determined to prove he's still got it. But every joke is tainted by the life he has tried to turn into material: his marriage to Aisha, his history with addiction, and his estrangement from his transgender daughter, Quinn.
