The first moment of the play marks the beginning of Amelia's journey as the estranged daughter of her now deceased mother, Grace. The wake is downstairs, and everyone is expecting her to make a nice, Grace-ful entrance. As she rushes to unpack her feelings towards her mother (along with various outfits, costumes and memories from her childhood), discussions unfold of her journey with her own anxiety, depression and trauma. Other stories and perspectives overlap from various visitors in the day as we learn of her mother's journey through bipolar towards the end of her life.
