Dark Side Dating App by Elmar Maripuu

Kyle has a concept for a digital emotional intelligence simulator. His self-appointed agent, Shelly, insists on calling it The Dating App, but at least she has found a venture capitalist to put up the money to turn Kyle’s concept into reality. Unfortunately, the venture capitalist is the same man who bankrupted Kyle’s hometown and swindled the townsfolk out of their pension fund.

To add to Kyle’s woes his ex-girlfriend Jodie still has not left his apartment after they broke up the night before (for the fourth time this year, best breaking up ever). Jodie will not believe that Shelly’s interest in Kyle is purely professional (she’s not wrong). She also accuses Kyle of going over to the dark side for merely thinking about accepting the venture capitalist’s money.

Did Jodie mention that her scary criminal brother Drew has threatened to break Kyle’s arms if he keeps doing the breaking up thing with her? Well, guess who’s knocking on Kyle’s door. Can Kyle find enough hiding places in his one-bedroom apartment to keep Jodie hidden from Shelly and Drew?

And why does it start to seem as if Jodie is invisible to everybody except Kyle?
