Hannah, an unmarried financial analyst in her late 30’s, is at a nightclub on her own when the club’s manager, Alex, introduces himself. Alex tells Hannah that he’s bisexual. Hannah’s limited and unpleasant relationship experiences haven’t prepared her for Alex’s candour, but she is giddily happy with Alex for a while. Then, Alex meets a handsome model named Michael. Hannah is anxious, yet intrigued, and allows Alex to see both her and Michael.
When Hannah and Michael meet, they like each other and get along great. When Hannah’s engaged sister Kathy visits, she assumes Alex and Michael are using Hannah. Michael is the one to propose a three-way relationship, and he, Hannah, and Alex have enjoy this new dynamic. Then Kathy calls to tell Hannah that her fiancé has learned about Hannah’s “immoral” relationship, and he is threatening to leave Kathy. Hannah reluctantly breaks up with her dismayed partners.
A miserable Hannah learns her family regards her as irredeemable now. After a panic attack, Hannah takes a chance on calling Alex...who instantly comes for her. She asks to come back, and both he and Michael happily say yes. Hannah decides if her adult sister wants to see her, she will.
