Your Life is Smokin’ is a story of a wallflower who is unable to socialize with others but desperately wants to. She lives in the shadows of the walls around her, viewing others from a distance. I have her speak only in rhyme to show that she is special in her own right as we all are. I offer two endings, one tragic, one celebratory.

I know It’s real but ain’t no big deal
It’s your prob and not my job
But I’ll help you out, that’s not in doubt
I’ve been on your road, it’s a heavy load
You say you’re addicted, that’s self inflicted
You gotta stay strong, you didn’t do the wrong
Work hard to not hate, just try to alleviate
Just find another to walk hand in hand
(slow down)
But that’s not gonna be me ‘cause It’s me and
You don’t see me and gee …
Will I ever be free …
To …
Talk and be talked with
Laugh and share the joy
Be with you and know I don’t annoy
Have an opinion and take a stand
Be your friend and hold your hand
Sing your song and you sing mine
Show you my life and you say fine
…to …
Love and be loved back
But it’s just hack and smack and crack, just attack
Hack … hack … hack
I live here inside this wall
Not even my shadow is very tall
And it’s just me that’s all, that’s all
But I want to meet you, I really do
