An Act of Grace by John Muggleton

Grace is filthy rich and wafts trouble like expensive perfume. She’s invited the two men—Chuck, an investment manager and Tony, a lawyer—to her home, the reason unclear. Chuck and Tony know each other, slightly, from high school long ago, and dislike each other. The meeting, which begins cordially, suddenly turns dark when Grace makes a diabolical demand. Three-way verbal cutting and thrusting begins and turn more and more vicious until the two men are forced into violence to survive the meeting. Twist and turns ensue, culminating with an ending that no one see's coming.

An Act of Grace was awarded Best Production, The People's Choice Award, Best Ensemble and The Adjudicators Award for Outstanding Achievement in Playwriting at the Eastern Ontario Drama League's One-Act Play Festival 2018 (Domino Theatre, Kingston).

"“An Act of Grace” is, at its core, about making choices, and how our choices, in turn, make us. It’s funny, thrilling, and makes for an excellent night of theatre."
